What is Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP)?

Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP), also known as a medical tattoo, it is a cosmetic treatment designed for individuals experiencing hair loss. It is widely acknowledged as the most effective solution for hair loss due to its immediate and noticeable results.

SMP offers a range of advantages:

  • Swift results
  • Excellent value for money
  • Natural outcome with seamless blending between natural hair and SMP
  • Absence of side effects
  • Minimal discomfort, especially when compared to transplantation
  • Ability to return to work the day after the session
  • SMP can serve as a long-term solution with occasional touch-ups every 3-6 years to maintain its fresh appearance.

This advanced process entails the injection of SMP pigment into the skin using microneedles, creating the illusion of hair follicles across the affected area.

For individuals with thinning or receding hair, SMP treatment imparts the appearance of fuller, thicker hair. It also rejuvenates the front hairline and enhances density for those dealing with advanced or complete loss of hair.

Scalp Micropigmentation is suitable for both men and women, addressing various types of hair loss including Alopecia, thinning hair, receding hairline, crown hair loss, male pattern baldness, scars (including post-transplant scars), and hair loss stemming from genetic or stress-related factors.

The SMP process typically involves 2 to 3 sessions of painless treatment. A qualified SMP technician conducts a thorough examination of the client’s skin condition before the procedure and outlines the expected outcome.

In the initial session, pigment is meticulously applied throughout the affected area with a medium-density application. The skin is then left untouched for several days. The healing duration varies based on individual skin conditions and healing abilities. On average, the next session is scheduled around 7 days later.

The second session intensifies the process, utilizing a higher micropigment density that harmonizes perfectly with existing hair. Adjustments to pigment shade or hairline shape can be made during this session, as SMP is highly adaptable.

Once the skin is fully healed, the practitioner performs final touches in the third session. Adhering to both short-term and long-term aftercare advice provided by the technician is crucial for optimal results and longevity of the SMP treatment.

Following the completion of the final treatment session, SMP should be virtually indistinguishable. This ensures there is no visible demarcation between natural hair and SMP. Therefore, selecting the right specialist is imperative for achieving the most authentic SMP effects.
