The hair loss in the female has a different pattern of baldness than men, measured by the Ludwig Scale from 1-3. Androgenetic alopecia normally appears all over the scalp, however, thinning hair around the front hairline or parting area could be more visible.

The main cause of androgenetic alopecia is primarily hormonal disorders, resulting in an increase in the level of male sex hormones (testosterone) in the woman’s body.

Women also often lose hair due to environmental factors and stress.

Many of them observe thinning of their hairstyle after giving birth to a child and during menopause – this is related to a decrease in oestrogen levels.

Inappropriate care that is too heavy for the hair and tight braiding may also have an impact.

1. Online assessment

As a first step I ask you to take some photos of your current hairline and hair loss area. This allows me to fully prepare for your face-to-face consultation, and makes sure we use your time most efficiently.

2. Face-to-face consultation

You come to my clinic and, together, we work out the best solution for your needs. Once I have a general overview of your health and medical history, we can focus on accurate treatment plan for you.

3. Treatment

Every client has different needs, but two or three SMP sessions is normal and there needs to be a gap of at least a week between sessions. Each session involves around two to four hours of treatment.
